Moving Forward

Hi all

Sorry for anyone who was truly gutted by my silly April Fools thing yesterday!  The silver lining is that is what is planned for the medium term development of the game, so one day that will all be true!

I didn't get as much development done last week on the game as I'd like because some bugs took ages to fix, and also because I'm working on getting the new website up and running which should be very soon.

Next week may end up not having a new version, again due to website development work I'm doing and also because it's Easter Weekend.

Finally, thanks so much to all my donators for supporting the game, it means so much to me.  Thanks to all my other fans as well for your continued kind words and love.  I've received fanmail from all over the world, everywhere from China to Russia.  Even if our nations differ in politics and culture, at least we can all unite under a mutual love of everything filthy.  I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and normal service will resume shortly.

Release 6 Version 2.7 Changelist

* Fully functioning new region with 4 new NPCs, 5 new traps, tattoo parlor and piercing studio.
* Fully graphical interface with arrow keys for movement and intuitive keyboard shortcuts
* Happy April Fools Day... please don't hurt me.
* Barbiestyle was being displayed as a vagina.
* Fixed runtime error when questioning the witch.
* Fixed shopkeeper not understanding the player asking for a drink.
* Fixed runtime error when orgasming.
* Made the chance of the mannequin placing the pink hat a bit more random, but it's still based on your breasts being small compared to your bimbo level.
* Stationary monsters like the shopkeeper and witch no longer follow you around when friendly.
* Minor typo fixes.
* Wearing newer headgear items no longer disables hair description in "x me".
* Greeting intelligent NPCs forces them to become interested.
* Latex items can no longer be used for cleaning purposes.
* Boobs can now successfully grow to GG when extreme proportions fetish is disabled.
* Using "undo" will now force a redraw of all live images.  This may mean each undo takes ages, so this might end up pissing people off more than it helps images be correct.  Please do give feedback.

Hotfix - Release 6 Version 2.6b Changelist

* Royal Guard flavour text no longer leaking to other monsters and I have no idea why.  I literally just tried changing things for a few hours and eventually it stopped doing this super weird glitch.  Huh.
* Hair length no longer causing error message every turn at length 3 and up
* Intelligent monsters were not properly getting delayed for a turn upon the player performing a submissive action
* Kneeing and kicking and falling over should no longer be considered a submissive move by monsters
* Minotaur can properly react to tentacle monster.
* Tentacle monster can properly become unfriendly again

Thanks for your patience guys and apologies for the buggy release.

Keep up the bug reports, I'm sure there's several more.

Release 6 Version 2.6 Changelist

EDIT: Royal guard flavour upon kneeling seems to be leaking into other monsters.  Will try and fix this tomorrow if I can work out how the hell it's happening.  But I definitely need sleep now, sorry.

* The way monsters are coded has been massively improved, but I expect several bug reports!
** Showme output for monsters will look a lot less ugly
** It's structured in such a way that one day (a long way in the future) when the code is open source it will be possible for fans to create their own monsters
** Monster adjectives now should never glitch
* Shopkeeper actually had 3 possible adjectives but game was only ever choosing the first one
* Speaking to non-intelligent monsters no longer aggros them.
* Tentacle monster available for birthing!
* Character window will only refresh if it has to, which should speed up gameplay
* Humiliation levels assigned to all items of clothing have been massively improved to make more sense and be more balanced from a gameplay perspective.
* For donators - drawn character window now has belly and penis, and a properly female hairdo once your hair grows a few times.
* MG has added even more flavour text, again mostly for the royal guard but also some lines when you open the pink wardrobe for the first time, and a couple of other small things as well.  Give him lots of kind words so that he keeps up the amazing work!
* Pump plug panties are in the game now, even though they're really rare to encounter.  If you are really desperate to play around with them, type "purloin pump plug panties".

Pump plug pants & plans moving forward

This variation of the latex plug pants will only ever have an anal plug.  If inflation fetish is enabled, the plug will blow air up inside you whenever you change from standing to kneeling, whether on purpose or because the game made you.  In this way, the item could be used to control your weight relatively accurately, but if it is cursed and you're not doing extremely well in the game, you're probably going to need to get rid of that curse relatively rapidly before you go pop.  Moreover, they will always be cursed when you first encounter one.

I only have a few more donators requests to get through of things that aren't planned for the Hotel.  After that is done in a few weeks, I will be prioritizing getting the hotel to a point where it can be enabled, even if it's pretty empty.

As I'm doing all this, I am also slowly reworking the code to make it more modular and function-based.  This will make it more feasible one day in the future to migrate the code to a superior coding platform, and maybe even one day make the code open source in a way that allows people to create their own traps, monsters, clothing and so on, without needing to touch the main code - and then players can pick and choose from their favorite non-official plugins.  That is the dream, but it's a long way in the future.

Due to the plans to have a fully functional drawn character window, real images of male asses etc. have massively dropped in priority.  In fact due to potential copyright issues I might end up removing the current image set altogether, we'll see.  The character window is coming along well; penises are done and there should be bellies done soon.

As for this blog, we will shortly be migrating over to a new private website I'm setting up.  I've commissioned a drawn banner which may upset a few of you who were hoping for something non-NSFW, but will hopefully be generally received as pretty damn cool.  The blog will be running Ghost, so will have an RSS feed, Disqus for comments and a fancy navigation bar.

In the long term I plan to have the game's wiki and the game's bug tracking system privately hosted as well.
